January 24th, 2023: City Hall now has clear direction — produce creative, effective, and legal options on the property tax increases of yesterday for Council to adopt.

Citizens want this Council to deliver millions in tax relief and build consensus. This adopted recommendation from Finance Committee does both, and I am humbled to lead us in down this path.

January 24th, 2023: Lynchburg now has the lowest local fee possible for obtaining a Concealed Carry Permit — $0.

I am very excited to have brought this recommendation from Finance Committee to my colleagues, securing a 5-2 vote in favor for adoption.

While law-abiding residents will still pay $15 to the state, this council is making good on our commitment to lowering taxes/fees, and more importantly, honoring your right to keep and bear arms.
